PLAINFIELD, Ill., Dec. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- When it comes to providing quality education to its members, Mississippi Hospital Association (MHA) feels there is no such thing as too much, which is why they have invited Wound Care Education Institute® (WCEI®) to Madison, Mississippi to teach the Skin and Wound Management course for a second year in a row.
WCEI first offered the Skin and Wound Management course in partnership with MHA in February 2017. The training was provided as part of a project for quality improvement activities.
The Skin and Wound Management course is offered online or in a live classroom setting. Upon completion of the course, those who meet the eligibility requirements and successfully pass the national board certification exam by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy® become board certified in wound care, earning the WCC® (Wound Care Certified) credential. Over 22,000 health professionals have taken the steps to obtain the distinguished WCC certification.
One alumni of the 2017 Madison course, Beverly Young, shared her feelings about the course by stating, "I learned so much that I assumed I already knew. I feel all nurses should go through this course." Young went on to earn the WCC credential following completion of the Skin and Wound Management course.
"It's an honor and privilege to be invited back and we value MHA's committed to the continued education of Mississippi's health professionals," said WCEI Co-Founder/Clinical Instructor Nancy Morgan, RN, BSN, MBA, WOC, WCC, DWC, OMS.
