This training was offered as part of the quality improvement activities supported through a partnership with The Health Research and Educational Trust (HRET) of the American Hospital Association. HRET serves as one of 16 Hospital Improvement Innovation Networks (HIINs) under the Partnership for Patients.

WCEI offers the Skin and Wound Management course online or in a live classroom setting. Upon completion of the course, those who meet the eligibility requirements and successfully pass the national board certification exam by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy® (NAWCO®) will become board certified in wound care, earning the WCC® (Wound Care Certified) credential.
