Local Child Advocacy Center Celebrates with Local Benefit at the Radisson Hotel in King of Prussia
EAST NORRITON, Pa., April 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mission Kids, a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center in Montgomery County, PA, which eases the criminal justice process for abused children while helping them heal from abuse, is holding its 6th Annual Mission Possible Fundraiser on April 10th from 6PM to 9PM in the Waterford Ballroom at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia. The event will commemorate the accomplishments of Mission Kids as they look forward to continuing the fight against child abuse.
"We are so proud of Mission Kids for the part they have played in helping over 1,600 child abuse victims since opening in 2009," says Risa Vetri Ferman, DA of Montgomery County and co-founder of Mission Kids. "But, there is still so much work to do. We are so thankful to each and every individual who helps us in the fight against child abuse. The Mission Possible Fundraising Event brings together hundreds of supporters from across the Delaware Valley to help raise money and educate others about assisting the most vulnerable victims in our society."
This year's fundraiser, hosted by Alicia Vitarelli of Channel 6 Action News, will feature live music by the Vincent James Band, as well as delicious cuisine. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in silent and live auctions. Philadelphia media personality, Howard Eskin of Fox 29 and 94 WIP Sports Radio, will serve as Auctioneer and raffling off lavish prizes including a once in a lifetime trip to Paris and a catered meal for 10 at your home with the District Attorney of Montgomery County, Risa Vetri Ferman. Silent auction items include Flyers tickets and other autographed sports memorabilia, exquisite jewelry from Steven Singer, and fine Philadelphia dining experiences.
Child abuse survivor and filmmaker Sasha Joseph Neulinger will make a special guest appearance. Delving into 200 hours of home video, Sasha' s upcoming film tells his emotional story of abuse as a child in Montgomery County and gives intimate and inspiring insight into one survivor's healing process. Mission Kids is thrilled to welcome Sasha and the inspiration he brings to all victims of abuse to this year's event.
