EAST NORRITON, Pa., Oct. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mission Kids, a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center aimed at easing the criminal justice process for abused children in Montgomery County, PA has been nominated by David Craig Jewelers, for the Jewelers for Children (JFC) Local Grant Program. JFC, a non-profit organization founded by the jewelry industry in 1999, is dedicated to helping children in need. "It is important to note the significant impact that $10,000 will have on an organization like Mission Kids," states Risa Vetri Ferman, Montgomery County District Attorney and co-founder of Mission Kids. "Winning this grant will help us provide greater resources for the abused children in our community, including expanding mental health and victim advocacy services. In this case, all it takes is one minute of time and one vote to help change the life of a child in need."
Public online voting for the grant is open now through Wednesday, October 30th on www.facebook.com/JewelersforChildren. The top ten organizations with the most votes will be awarded $10,000 each.
