Mission Essential Promotes Ramchand to Chief Executive Officer
HERNDON, Va., May 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Mission Essential, a global provider of services and solutions to the U.S. Defense and Intelligence Communities, announced the promotion of Sunil N. Ramchand to Chief Executive Officer. Ramchand will report directly to Board Co-Chairmen Gregory K. Miller and Chad A. Monnin, who together founded the company.

Ramchand joined Mission Essential in 2009, first as Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff, and then Chief Administrative Officer. Since 2012, he has served as Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer. Prior to joining Mission Essential, Ramchand held numerous military and civilian leadership positions at the White House during the Administrations of Presidents Clinton, Bush, and Obama. He holds degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and Harvard University. Ramchand served as an active duty surface warfare officer and later as a Defense Department civilian. A military veteran and seasoned Defense executive with both operational and acquisition experience, he brings unique national security expertise to the role.
