Miss Nature International 2013 contest now accepting applications for a beauty queen to represent Mother Nature and tourism
NEW YORK, Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Miss Nature International Organization joins the international community that seeks to preserve natural resources, save the planet and foment tourism, with the launch of its Miss Nature International 2013 to be held as part of the International Year of Thermalism.
The candidates and winners of the Miss Nature International 2013 beauty competition will be actively involved and promote preservation of the natural environment and protecting Nature.
The competition will mainly focus on programs that protect nature and that promote different tourism destinations and services.
The winner of the Miss Nature competition will act as an ambassador, participating in and helping with environmental protection campaigns around the world.
The Miss Nature International Organization is looking for exceptional women from all over the world who wish to participate in its first edition on December 4-7, 2013 in New York City during the International Tourism Film Festival in New York.
While traditional beauty events accept only national candidates, Miss Nature will allow candidates who indirectly represent causes that are dedicated to environmental protection or that promote tourism centers.
All candidates must be single, between the ages of 18 and 26, minimum 5'5" in height, friendly, in good physical condition and must have a good knowledge of the culture, cause or tourism center represented by them.
Children can also compete in the Miss Nature International Teen 2013 competition. The winner will obtain prizes and promote the environment at the international level.
The winner of the Miss Nature International competition will receive cash prizes as well as other gifts with a value of up to $100,000.

Miss Nature International is not a one day competition, but rather an active program that will continue throughout the year, visiting and reporting on different tourism centers, gathering and donating funds for preservation of the natural environment, and educating consumers on nature and tourism as they actively participate in the selection of an international queen of nature and tourism.
