Mirus to Award $250,000 of Transfection Products for Cutting Edge Research

MADISON, Wis., July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Mirus Bio has initiated the Mirus Research Award Program to recognize the excellent research being conducted in the face of continued national grant funding reductions and decreased R&D budgets. Eligible labs and institutions will be selected based on the quality of the submission, research area, and the proposed novel use of Mirus products for scientific advancement.

Award levels are for $5,000, $3,000 or $2,000 of eligible Mirus Bio products
Awards may be made to individual labs or to Department and/or Institution
In addition to transfection products, Mirus will provide technical support backed by over 15 years of gene delivery experience

The Mirus Research Award Program will continue through 2012 and may be extended. Receiving labs that publish or present results referencing Mirus products will be eligible to receive matching awards for a second year.
