"Since his arrival, Jeffrey has been driving our day to day sales efforts in our community," said Marshall Gobuty, Mirabella Florida's developer and Managing Partner. "Under Jeff's leadership, we have crossed the fifty percent mark with over 86 homes sold to date and more property sales in the pipeline."
As a LEED-certified community, Mirabella's Bradenton Villas provides buyers with homes that offer clean indoor air, are built with safe materials, use less energy and water, and have lower utility bills each month. Retirees living on a fixed income benefit from owning a green home in Mirabella because they not only save money on bills each month but they also enjoy long-term financial benefits like tax breaks, zoning allowances, and increased property values. Mirabella's homes are also ENERGY STAR and HERS certified, which provide even more cost-saving, energy-efficient advantages for active adult homebuyers.
To receive LEED certification, each home must earn points in five green design categories: sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality. The number of points accrued from these categories determines which of the four levels of LEED certification has been reached: Certified, Silver, Gold, or Platinum. Mirabella has earned the highest certification level, Platinum, acknowledging it as a unique and healthy environment for active adults.
Mirabella's LEED certified homes use nearly 40 percent less energy than what is used in a typical home. They feature Energy Star appliances manufactured by companies including GE, Carrier, Argos, Shaw, and Atrium. Plumbing features include EPA WaterSense faucets, toilets, showers and irrigation controllers, which help reduce water consumption significantly — with no reduction in overall performance. Homes are inspected for quality control during each phase of the building process.
All of these energy-friendly features recently helped Mirabella win three prestigious Aurora Awards including one Grand Aurora. Mirabella was tops in Green Construction categories "Green Construction," "Water-Wise Home" and "Energy Efficient Home." In addition to the Aurora Awards, Mirabella just earned LEED Platinum level certification. That is the highest level of certification a home can maintain and the only one that's earned that level in the state of Florida, according to Christ.
Mirabella's villa homes start at $270,880 and average around 1,524 square feet of living space. Mirabella has recently introduced its new three bedroom Model. Comparable homes on Florida's Gulf Coast that lack the environmentally-friendly features of a LEED certified home start in the low to mid-$300,000's.
