PARIS, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- MIPIM Asia today announces the nominees for the fourth edition of the MIPIM Asia Awards, which honour real estate projects in the Asia Pacific region.
China and Singapore dominate the list of 24 nominees with a total of 17 projects competing for an award.
The international jury*, chaired by Dr. Robert Lie, Redevco Asia Limited, Real Estate Investment & Development Managing Director, met in Hong Kong, September 17, to examine the 79 projects from 10 countries that entered this year's awards and to determine the 24 nominees in 8 distinct categories – 3 nominated projects per category. Entries were received from as far afield as Australia, China, India, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong and Vietnam.
Details of the 24 finalists are currently on the MIPIM Asia web site. Winners will be chosen via online voting by registered MIPIM Asia delegates. The vote closes November 1.
"It is fantastic to see so many high quality projects from countries across Asia in this year's MIPIM Asia Awards competition. This is a clear reflection of the continued growth and development of this dynamic region. We are very pleased that like last year we have received a large number of interesting projects from China and we will therefore continue with the special category 'Best Chinese projects'," states Robert Lie, President of the MIPIM Asia Awards 2010 Jury.
Speaking on their experience as a MIPIM Asia Awards 2009 winner, Paul Katz, President of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC, said: "Winning awards always helps our business development and public relations efforts, but MIPIM Asia Awards are of special significance because the MIPIM Asia audience represents past, present and future clients across a wide range of regions and markets - giving us the greatest return on our investment. 2010 was particularly successful, as we were honoured to receive three awards, resulting in even further recognition among our target audience." (N.B.: Shanghai World Financial Center also received the MIPIM Asia Awards 2009 Participants' Choice Award)
The fifth edition of MIPIM Asia, the world's property market in Asia Pacific, will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 10 to 12. The MIPIM Asia Awards Ceremony will take place on the opening day of MIPIM Asia, on Wednesday, November 10, at 5.30 pm.
