MIPIM Asia 2012 launches a new retail offer for real estate professionals

PARIS, Sept. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- MIPIM Asia, the world's property market in Asia Pacific, today announces the introduction of the new Retail Summit destined to focus attention on the rapidly-growing retail sector across the region. Organised by Reed MIDEM, a division of Reed Exhibitions, MIPIM Asia takes place in Hong Kong, November 7-9.
MIPIM Asia Retail Summit is part of the new three-in-one MIPIM Asia which this year combines the Retail Summit with an Investment Summit and sustainable development exhibition zone.

MIPIM Asia's new Retail Summit aims at helping retailers wishing to extend their business in the Asia Pacific region. Some 20 conferences will feature keynotes and expert-led panels to provide insight into attractive shopping centre offers and city developments. On Thursday 8 November, the Keynote address by John Devine, President & Director of Subway Real Estate and Carmine Rotondaro, Worldwide Real Estate Director at PPR Group, will detail the story of these brands which have been successfully marketed to enter the Chinese market. Mr Devine says: "We've got a really strong presence right now in Asia, but frankly we've only just begun. We're only scratching the surface in terms of what we believe the potential is for the market in Asia." MIPIM Asia Retail Summit offers the opportunity to further explore the market potential.
On November 9, industry leaders will chair 10 thematic lunch tables on the topic of retail, to pool their experience and facilitate networking between retail real estate professionals. Topic angles include China retail leasing, retail REITs, brand building in Asia, logistics, retail opportunity offered by transport hubs, mall offers – architecture and marketing, or top Asian cities for retail construction.
Retail will also be addressed on the exhibition floor with a new tailor-made Retail Village where retailers can meet with developers, such as Capital Mall Singapore, Taubman US or Inter-Ikea Russia, which have booked hospitality suites to conduct their business meetings. Some major brands and retailers like Desigual, Devanlay or Subway will present their offer on stands within this village, showcasing the dynamic expansion plans which trend-setters have been engaged in throughout the Asian market.
