MIPI® Alliance Welcomes Toshiba Corporation as Newest Promoter Member

PISCATAWAY, N.J., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- MIPI Alliance today announced that Toshiba Corporation has been approved as a Promoter Member. Toshiba has actively served as a Contributor member since 2004. Now the company will join other Board members Intel, Nokia, Samsung, STMicroelectronics and Texas Instruments in driving the future direction of mobile device interface technology.

Promoter members are elected by the Board for a two-year term and have a preferential obligation to support MIPI Alliance.
