Minyanville Media Adds Christopher Dixon to Team, Board of Directors
NEW YORK, Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Minyanville Media, the Emmy Award-winning financial media company, announced today that Christopher Dixon has joined the company as a Non-Executive Vice Chairman, Member of the Board of Directors.
Dixon has over 30 years experience in operating and investing roles in the media and entertainment industry. He served as Strategic Advisor and Managing Director, Media Investments for Gabelli Group Capital Partners from 2004 to 2010, where he focused on investing in privately held emerging media companies. Previously, he held the role of Managing Director and Global Strategist for Media at UBS, where he made investment recommendations and headed a research team that covered all aspects of the media landscape, from early stage Internet companies to global conglomerates. Dixon has advised NBC, DreamWorks, Time Warner, CBS and Clear Channel and has appeared regularly on CNN, CNBC and other media outlets.
