Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee Appoints Communications Executive
Andrea Mokros tasked with showcasing opportunity, personality of Minnesota and Bold North
MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 25, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee today announced the hiring of Andrea Mokros as Vice President of Communications to oversee media engagement and outreach efforts around Super Bowl LII, which Minneapolis will host in February 2018.

"Andrea has a deep understanding of everything Minnesota has to offer. She is uniquely positioned to create powerful, lasting impressions of Minnesota and the rest of the Bold North."
Mokros will develop media engagement opportunities, partnerships and campaigns that support Super Bowl LII activities and programs. She will also be a primary media spokesperson for the Host Committee. Her first day is September 14, 2015.
Prior to joining the Host Committee, Mokros served at the White House as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Strategic Planning for First Lady Michelle Obama. She successfully managed a team responsible for maximizing awareness in and sustained engagement with the First Lady's initiatives, including Let's Move! and Joining Forces. She has traveled the nation and the world to create and execute Mrs. Obama's many events and appearances, including the NATO Summit in Chicago, the London Olympics, and her historic trip to China.
Before that, Mokros was Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of Governor Mark Dayton, leading media outreach and communications. She also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and as Communications Director in the Minnesota State Senate, tasked with making legislative priorities relevant to constituents. Mokros founded and was the principal of Mokros Strategies, LLC, where she developed speeches and materials and executed events-based communications strategies for public and private clients.
Mokros is a native of Milwaukee, Wis. and a graduate of the University of Minnesota's College of Liberal Arts.
