Minnesota Hospital Association Opposes Health and Human Services Bill

ST. PAUL, Minn., May 13, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The following is a statement from Lawrence J. Massa, President and CEO, Minnesota Hospital Association:

The Minnesota Hospital Association opposes the Health and Human Services Omnibus bill agreed to last night by the Health and Human Services conference committee.   If passed, this legislation would cause considerable harm to Minnesota's nation-leading health care system.  Policies that limit access to high-quality, affordable health care do not reflect Minnesota values and fail to meet the goals of lower-cost, high-quality health care for all. 

The Minnesota Hospital Association represents Minnesota's hospitals and health systems.
