Minitex Chooses LearningExpress, LLC for Online eLearning Resources

NEW YORK, Oct. 20, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- LearningExpress, LLC announced today that Minitex has expanded its Electronic Library of Minnesota (ELM) offerings by adding LearningExpress Library™, Job & Career Accelerator, and Computer Skills Center to help individuals achieve their academic, career, and personal goals.

Minnesota State Librarian Jennifer Nelson said, "Not only do children have to go back to school, sometimes adults do, too. Whether they are returning to the classroom or want to learn the skills they need to find a job or explore a new career, LearningExpress and Minitex have partnered to provide students and adults in Minnesota with the tools that will help them succeed."

The LearningExpress platforms are available online at the Electronic Library for Minnesota (ELM). They include academic support (reading, writing, and math) for student skill levels from elementary school through college; basic skill building for adults; job search and resume writing tools; test preparation for the GED® test and occupational licensing exams; computer and Internet tutorials including Microsoft Word®, Excel®, and PowerPoint®, Adobe® Photoshop® and Illustrator®; and much more. There are more than 1,000 easy-to-use, interactive tutorials, practice tests and exercises, and downloadable e-books. Minnesotans can even prepare for the ACT® and SAT college entrance exams at no cost.

These resources are made available free-of-charge to all Minnesota residents, through their school, public, academic, and state government libraries or directly through ELM.
