Ministry of Mining, Industry and Energy in Equatorial Guinea Prepares for National Industrialization Conference

Industrialization plan promotes diversity in national economy

MALABO, Equatorial Guinea, Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Equatorial Guinea's Ministry of Mining, Industry and Energy will host a National Industrialization Conference in Sipopo, Malabo, November 21 and 22.

The conference is designed to inform the public about the Equatoguinean Industrialization Plan 2020, known by its Spanish acronym PEGUI 2020, and will focus on recent improvements and potential investment opportunities. It will provide a series of presentations and panel discussions that will highlight the plan's main objectives.

Presentations will be made by governmental organizations involved in the PEGUI as well as national and international organizations that can significantly contribute to the implementation of the plan.

Attendees will be invited to participate in open discussion and provide insight on the structure and schedule of the PEGUI. They will also be encouraged to get involved in the country's industrial sector by investing in upcoming projects.

PEGUI 2020 aims to diversify Equatorial Guinea's economy and improve social wellbeing, one of the resolutions from the second economic conference in Bata 2007. Under the leadership of the Ministry of Mining, Industry and Energy, Equatorial Guinea has taken an active role in promoting industrial development.
