"We are excited to embark on this new chapter of our corporate story in such a fantastically restored space," said Joey Levin, CEO of IAC Search & Applications, a division of IAC which includes Mindspark. "The new headquarters is the perfect post for what will allow considerably more creative thinking, efficiency and collaboration across teams. We look forward to this next phase as we continue to change the digital landscape by creating innovative user experiences through our digital applications."
Mindspark becomes the latest company to join the quickly expanding and redeveloped office campus on the Yonkers Waterfront known as i.Park Hudson. The 24-acre technology and office site houses a wide spectrum of businesses in sectors ranging from technology, education, biotechnology, local government and industrial.
"We're proud that Mindspark – a cutting-edge tech company with some of the leading brands on the Web – chose to relocate its corporate headquarters and a significant amount of jobs to the heart of Yonkers' Downtown Waterfront," said Mayor Mike Spano, City of Yonkers. "Mindspark joins other industry leaders, like Kawasaki Rail Car and Contrafect, who have made i.Park their home, not only for its ideal riverfront location just steps from Metro North and minutes to Manhattan, but for the great restaurants, shops, waterfront living, beautiful parks and continued growth that is making this vibrant area a regional attraction."
The newly renovated office was designed by Ferris Architects and constructed by Pavarini Construction Co. The building was originally constructed for the Otis Elevator Company in 1853. Architecturally notable, it celebrates and preserves the history of the space, maintaining the original brick walls and plank ceilings. The property is a wonderful combination of turn-of-the-century style and modern office convenience, equipped with premium finishes, oversized loft windows, high ceilings, and striking views of the Hudson River and Palisades. The space will house several corporate functions, including marketing, product management, customer support, IT and administration.
