Miller Energy Resources Elects Jonathan S. Gross to Board of Directors
HUNTSVILLE, Tenn., May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Miller Petroleum, Inc. dba Miller Energy Resources ("Miller"), (NasdaqGM: MILL) announced today that its shareholders have elected Jonathan S. Gross to its Board of Directors. As part of his responsibilities on the Board, Mr. Gross will serve as a member of the Nominating Committee.
Mr. Gross, 51, has 29 years experience in domestic and international oil and gas exploration and is an AAPG Certified Geologist. During his career, Mr. Gross has served as the Chief Operating Officer for Houston Exploration Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Kuwait Energy Company, from July 2008 to May 2009, Senior Vice President of Exploration and Technology Manager of Cheniere Energy, Inc. from June 1999 to July 2008, and has also worked for Zydeco Energy, Inc. from January 1998 to May 1999. Mr. Gross began his career as a geoscientist with Amoco Production Company in 1981 and spent 17 years as a technical contributor and team leader. He has substantial domestic and international experience in both onshore and offshore basins in several parts of the world including the US, Trinidad, West Africa, North Africa, Middle East and Eurasia. Since June 2009, he has served as President of Jexco LLC, a Houston, Texas geological and geophysical consulting company. Mr. Gross received his Bachelor of Arts in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago in 1981, and he is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the Houston Geological Society.
