Miller & Smith Announces Thomas Hyde's Installation As President Of The Frederick County Building Industry Association

MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Miller & Smith, an award-winning homebuilder and real estate development company, announces today Thomas Hyde, Vice President for Miller & Smith has been installed as President of the Frederick County Building Industry Association (FCBIA).

Established in 1959, the FCBIA has a local affiliation with the National Association of Home Builders to represent the building industry and to promote housing opportunities for those who live or are planning to move to Frederick County. FCBIA offers a wide range of services to meet the business needs of builders, commercial developers, remodelers, specialty contractors, suppliers and other professionals active in the building industry. A native of Olney, Maryland, Hyde has been a member of the FCBIA for seven years.

Hyde received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech. He earned his MBA from the University of Maryland University College. Previously a business development manager for a regional contractor, Hyde joined Miller & Smith in 2005 and is responsible for land acquisition, entitlement, and sales along the I-270 and I-70 corridor. In addition to the FCBIA, he is on the Board of Directors of both the Maryland National Capital Building Industry Association and the Maryland State Builders Association.
