In addition to honoring our military personnel, the Governor presented Tom and Bill Pollock, owners and founders of Trinity Solar, each with a Commendation Medal and certificate issued by Brigadier General Michael L. Cunniff, the Adjutant General. The medal, which is among the highest military honors that can be bestowed upon a civilian, recognizes Tom and Bill for their efforts through creating Trinity Solar's Military Give-Back Program, which consists of providing free solar power systems to active military personnel and reservists who reside in New Jersey. Over 300 military homes received free solar electric systems with no upfront costs and paid either zero or very little for the electricity produced by the system.
Bill and Tom Pollock were grateful to have been recognized with such high honors by state and military officials. The Military-Give Back Program was a great opportunity for Trinity Solar to take a small step in repaying New Jersey's military personnel for all they have done for our communities. Trinity helped military families save on their energy costs and make a positive impact on our environment.
The Brigadier General and Governor thanked the Pollocks for their continued support to the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines that reside in the state of New Jersey. The Military Give-Back Program created by Trinity Solar was awarded for the commitment it shows to our military personnel and their families, and also to the environment by making the benefits of solar more widespread.
