Military Families Enjoy Free Night Offer From Select Registry Inns
MARSHALL, Mich., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Military families will enjoy R & R with a free night's stay for Veterans Day at leading inns across the United States and Canada.
Select Registry™, Distinguished Inns of North America (www.selectregistry.com) joins B&Bs for Vets, a program that recognizes active and retired members of the military for their service, by offering free rooms, Nov. 10, the night before Veterans Day. As of today, nearly 100 Select Registry inns – in 26 states plus Ontario and British Columbia – have signed on to provide complimentary rooms to service members and their families. Many of these properties are including other perks too, such as discounts on spa services, signature dining and local activities.
"We're proud to support B&Bs for Vets in honoring the men and women who serve our country and thank them for the many privileges we enjoy because of their bravery," says Bill Moncrief, Select Registry's president. "What better way to show our appreciation than to treat veterans to a peaceful getaway at these lodgings known for fine food and warm hospitality? This offer is just one way for Select Registry and its innkeepers to thank American heroes for all they do."
Many Select Registry innkeepers are veterans themselves, including Moncrief, who served as a pilot during a 20-year career in the U.S. Navy.
Each participating Select Registry inn is providing one or more free rooms. To participate, service members must show a valid military or Veterans Administration ID.
Military families will enjoy unique getaways at Select Registry retreats, blending beautiful scenery, award-winning cuisine and local charm. Many member inns were turn-of-the-century mansions. Today, they treat veterans to fall escapes with modern amenities, such as five-course feasts, onsite wineries and microbreweries and award-winning spas. Richly appointed guestrooms feature comforts like romantic canopy beds with pillow-top mattresses, whirlpool baths, in-room fireplaces and private balconies with spectacular views. Most inns also offer Wi-Fi, flat-screen televisions and more. After a peaceful night's sleep, veterans will awaken to bountiful breakfasts of made-from-scratch specialties of the house.
Select Registry inns join more than 700 properties participating in B&Bs for Vets. The program, conceived in 2008 by the West Virginia B&B Association, now spans 48 states and four international locations.
