Mike Harris Named Executive Vice President/General Manager, Caroline
EXPERIENCED LABEL VETERAN TO BE INSTRUMENTAL IN GROWTH OF KEY UNIT
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Mike Harris has been appointed Executive Vice President/General Manager of Caroline – the Independent Services division of Capitol Music Group – it was announced today by Caroline President, Dominic Pandiscia, to whom Harris will report. In his new position, Harris will work closely with Pandiscia in overseeing a full range of services and revenue streams for Caroline's artists, releases and label associations for the U.S., including Marketing, Promotion, Sales, Branding, Synch & Licensing, and Finance. Harris will be based in New York.

Mike Harris most recently served as Executive Vice President/General Manager for EMI Label Services and Caroline Distribution, a position he held since 2010. During Harris's time in that role, Label Services achieved two Gold albums and Billboard Top 10 debuts with Five Finger Death Punch, Slash, Smashing Pumpkins, All Time Low, The Used, Tyrese and Yellowcard.
Previously, he was Executive Vice President/Finance Director, Global A&R Operations, overseeing business operations for EMI's New Music division. He was Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer for various labels and divisions within EMI, including Capitol, Virgin and Blue Note, from 2000 to 2008.
Harris joined EMI in 1997 and held a number of positions within EMI's Capitol Music Group before becoming Blue Note's CFO in 2000. Before joining EMI, Harris worked at Relativity Records. Among the many artists Harris has worked during his 15 years with the company, include Norah Jones, Katy Perry, Tyrese, Five Finger Death Punch, Slash, Smashing Pumpkins, Alter Bridge and Matt Nathanson.
