NEW YORK, Dec. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Infor, a global leader in business cloud software for enterprise and SMB companies, today announced that Midwest Industries, maker of ShoreStation Waterfront Equipment and ShoreLand'r Boat Trailers with extensive experience in the conceptual design and commercialization of consumer products, has selected Infor Configure Price Quote (CPQ) to improve the order process.
In the past, Midwest Industries has taken a traditional approach to sales, and relied heavily on manual processes and paper-based records. However, this approach did not inspire confidence in the sales teams and leadership began researching options for an online tool that could help more efficiently configure orders. Infor CPQ was selected to help build a more intuitive website with rule-based questions to eliminate silos in communications with the dealer and distributor network.
Midwest Industries selected Infor, in part, due to the experience and examples on how Infor CPQ could meet their unique needs and integrate with existing systems. Once fully live on the solution, they hope to see efficiency gains in the sales and order lifecycle. The go-live is expected to happen in early 2019.
"In order to help our dealers adopt new products and increase the bottom line, we knew we needed to look at newer systems to provide ourselves, our dealers and customers with more options for further innovation," said Jon Devitt, Chief Product Officer, Midwest Industries. "Infor CPQ will make it easier to do business with our brands by providing a centralized view to locate accessories and complementary products. We are very happy with the progress so far, and look forward to being live and utilizing the system to its fullest potential."
Infor CPQ is a comprehensive quoting and ordering system with a rules-driven platform designed for converged commerce quoting and dynamic pricing. The system helps organizations optimize the buying experience, increase order accuracy and improve sales efficiency. Midwest Industries also uses Infor M3, an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution that is designed to handle the complex value chains in the manufacturing and distribution industries.
"Consumers continue to demand more customized options in everything they order, from shoes to boats, which puts enormous pressure on manufacturers and distributors who are trying to meet those needs and provide positive customer experiences," said Ron Eismann, vice president, Infor. "Infor CPQ will help Midwest Industries capture knowledge about available customizations and products all at once, and then share with dealers and sales teams to make selection and configuration intuitive and error-free."
