With an intuitive user interface and integrated decision support features, HR InTouch offers Midwest Health the ability to simplify enrollment and provide benefits education for its geographically dispersed workforce of more than 1,900 benefit eligible employees across four states. The portal incorporates plan comparison tools that break down out-of-pocket costs and details of coverage to help employees understand their defined benefit options and the impact of their decisions. As employees select their benefits, a shopping cart feature displays a cost summary as well as the employer's contribution to provide additional transparency while communicating the value of the benefits offering. Additionally, HR InTouch offers more than 300 informative videos throughout the enrollment process to provide clear explanations of complex health and benefit-related topics.
"Employee satisfaction is a principal factor in the success of our company," said Jennifer Sourk, In-House Counsel at Midwest Health. "HR InTouch provides the tools we need to communicate the value of the benefits we offer as well as the functionality and capabilities that will help us complete tasks much more efficiently. Implementing Benefitfocus Technology is a step in the right direction to offer our employees an engaging enrollment experience."
HR InTouch automates the transmission of benefits data to insurance providers, payroll systems and third parties for account-based options. Employers can leverage the data exchange connections Benefitfocus has established to enhance their overall benefits package with additional voluntary benefit enrollment options and manage all of their benefits in one place. By exchanging data across these systems, administrators can improve the accuracy of their data and eliminate the need to enter the same information into multiple systems. In addition, employees can access the most current information about their policies and easily initiate changes to their benefits for a qualified life event.
"Midwest Health's strategy centers on ensuring that seniors experience quality care," said Shawn Jenkins, President and CEO of Benefitfocus. "At Benefitfocus, our goal is to deliver software that simplifies benefits administration and allows our clients to concentrate on their core business. We are excited that Midwest Health will implement our technology so they can focus on providing quality care for those living in their retirement communities."
Midwest Health is scheduled to go live on the Benefitfocus Cloud in Summer 2014.
