Midwest Growth Capital Symposium Issues Final Call for Presenting Company Applications by March 12
ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 28, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Organizers of the May 14-15 Midwest Growth Capital Symposium (MGCS) today issued the final call for company applications. MGCS is seeking companies in the life sciences and tech space that are seeking early to mid-stage investments. The 36 selected companies will have 10 minutes to present to an audience of national potential investors and partners.
MGCS is the Midwest region's premier event that connects national leaders in venture capital with emerging growth companies actively searching for partners and funding. The 38th annual symposium will be held at the Marriot Resort in Ypsilanti, Michigan. To have your company considered for a presentation slot at this year's MGCS, please complete the online application information and submit a brief executive summary (no more than two pages) of your company. The application deadline is Tuesday, March 12, and selected companies will be announced on Thursday, March 28.
To qualify, companies should be privately held, have a connection to the Midwest and plan to seek funding in the range of $1-$20 million within six months of the symposium. Selected companies will represent a variety of industries and may be seed, early-stage, late-stage or pre-IPO. Selected company benefits include a four-page executive summary in the conference binder, a company link on the MGCS website, investor pitch coaching, a 10-minute showcase slot and table-top exhibit space during both conference days.
A team of qualified Midwest venture capitalists will review applications. The committee will evaluate the market opportunity, competitive advantages, financial projections and management team of each applicant company.
Among the previous companies that have presented in recent years and raised funding are: HistoSonics (MI), Vestaron (MI), Trillium Secure (CA), Aquaro Biosystems (MI), Genomenon (MI), XaTek (OH), ContentOro (MI), Neurable (MA), ShapeLog (MI) and Stasys Medical (WA).
