"MES East 2011 is focusing on the CIO's role as a strategic business leader in one of the most dramatic IT transformations that we have witnessed in decades. At the core is the CIO's future and survival of his business," said Robert DeMarzo, Senior Vice President of Content at Everything Channel.
The Summit kicked off on Wednesday with Executive Strategies for Leading Change, a professional development course taught by University of Texas instructors. The course provided attendees with the building blocks and tools needed to effectively navigate organizational change as both an IT and business leader for their organization.
The main event agenda featured an opening keynote given by speaker and author, Ernest von Simson, Senior Partner of Ostriker von Simson. Von Simson addressed the topic of his recent book, The Limits of Strategy: Lessons in Leadership from the Computer Industry. The attending IT executives each received a copy of his book.
The conference agenda content explores critical market issues and trends affecting midmarket IT professionals today such as mobility, cloud, and virtualization. The business-intensive format includes exclusive access to industry research, analyst-led sessions, dynamic vendor keynotes, private boardroom appointments, breakout sessions, a solution showcase of exhibitors, and peer to peer networking opportunities.
The event will close with a celebration at the Midsize Enterprise Innovation Awards. Attendees will vote on the sponsoring vendors' products, services, and presentations that they have experienced throughout the event, and winners will be named in eight categories including the overall winner of Best in Show.
Platinum sponsors of the event include CommVault, HP | Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Shoretel, and TriGeo Network Security. A full list of sponsors is available on the website at http://everythingchannelevents.com/mese11_sponsors11.
