The Microwave Vision Group Announces the Signing of Major Contracts Totaling EUR 8M
PARIS, November 4, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The group has recently won several contracts:
- A EUR 400k contract in the University and R&D market, where increased activity is benefiting Microwave Vision. A recent order for a compact range system from a German university follows a similar order from the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA, USA) from the first half of 2010. - Three new contracts in the Aerospace and Defense sector totaling EUR 3.7M. Two orders are for planar near field systems in Asia: one is a very large planar scanner and the other is a StarLine system, which incorporates the multi-probe MV-ScanTM technology. The third contract, which was awarded by a large European aerospace company, is for a large antenna positioning system.
"The StarLine control system represents a breakthrough of multi-probe technology into the Aerospace and Defense market. Other MV-ScanTM system sales within this sector are being negotiated and are expected to be finalized soon," said Philippe Garreau, President of Microwave Vision.
- Finally, in the Telecommunications market, Microwave Vision reports many orders of SG 64, SG 32, SG 24 and StarLab. This demand is mainly from orders in the United States, where smartphone sales continue to drive growth in this sector. The remainder of these orders comes from Asia, particularly Japan, where sales which were delayed for several months have begun to materialize since early September.
These new contracts reflect the strength of Microwave Vision's market position, particularly its international presence and diverse product portfolio. The group is well-situated to benefit from growth factors in its target industries.
Publication of third quarter sales after closing on November 15, 2010
