MicroTech Awarded Landmark $400 Million Army Contract

VIENNA, Va., Feb. 17, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Technology and systems integrator MicroTech has been selected as a Prime Vendor for the U.S. Army $400 Million Information Technology Services - Small Business (ITS-SB) contract. The groundbreaking Federal contract opens the door to the small business community in providing technology services directly to the Army. MicroTech is the only Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and 8(a) that qualified for the ITS-SB award.

Under the terms of the ITS-SB ID/IQ - an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) multiple-award performance-based contract vehicle - the U.S. Army, Department of Defense (DoD), or any other Federal agency is authorized to fulfill their IT support requirements. A Prime Contractor on more-than-100 Federal projects and 20-plus contract vehicles, MicroTech offers access to 2500 vendors and over a million technology products across the government.

In partnership with the Army, MicroTech will provide Information Assurance (IA), Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V), the Electronic Product Environment Assessment Tool (EPEAT) Green technology program, Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6) engineering services, migration/integration IT services, along with warranty and maintenance support.

The ITS-SB contract is a companion contract to the U.S. Army Information Technology Enterprise Services (ITES) program. The contract term is over a five year period of performance -- a 36-month base period and one, 24-month option period.
