Microsoft Taps Gold's Gym As A Key Fitness Content Partner For Microsoft Band
Iconic Gym Brand Works with its Panel of World Class Trainers to Create Guided Workout Plans and Fitness Content for Microsoft Band Users
DALLAS, Oct. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Gold's Gym, the world's leading authority on health and fitness, is excited to announce a collaboration with Microsoft on its just-unveiled Microsoft Band wearable device, the smart band for people who want to live healthier and be more productive. With the goal of making fitness even more accessible to the nation, Gold's Gym members and non-members alike can now access the iconic brand of fitness that Gold's Gym has been providing to millions of consumers for nearly 50 years through the use of the innovative Microsoft Band.
Through the partnership, Microsoft Band users will have access to customized 12-week workout plans created by a panel of world-class Gold's Gym Fitness Institute celebrity trainers, with the ability to download workout plans directly to Microsoft Band. These Guided Workout plans will focus on the most popular fitness goals, ranging from building muscles and getting lean to staying healthy and boosting performance – taking the guess work out of the equation, and putting a virtual trainer right on your wrist. The Microsoft Band will also feature a variety of Gold's Gym curated workouts for users looking to shake up their routine, ranging from total-body workouts like the 30-Day Beach Body Workout and the Power of Plyometrics to body part-specific workouts that will help users sculpt their arms, chest, back, shoulders and butt.
"Partnering with Microsoft on the Microsoft Band aligns perfectly with our mission at Gold's Gym," said Michael Cobb, Chief Marketing Officer at Gold's Gym. "Together, with our goal-based workouts created specifically for Microsoft Band, we will help people achieve their potential through fitness."
Additionally, Microsoft Band users will also have access to the Microsoft Health app, which allows users to easily set fitness goals, monitor key wellness information like heart rate and sleep quality, and sync Guided Workouts onto their band. All Guided Workouts will feature illustrations, step-by-step instructions and video demos, giving users the power to make every workout count.
