Microsoft and NetCom Learning Made the Learning Commitment to Hundreds of Young Professionals to Become Business Superstars at the iBusiness 2012
Hosted by NetCom Learning, the business technology conference featured topics including unified communication and collaboration, unified business intelligence strategies and cloud computing, designed to show business professionals how to stand out in their industries
NEW YORK, March 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- NetCom Learning, the leading technology and business skills center, along with Microsoft and Asian Business Association-America, hosted the successful business conference iBusiness 2012: Differentiate Yourself, Transform Your Future alongside a roster of sought-after speakers who are top business leaders in the corporate world. Held at Microsoft Headquarters in New York City, the event attracted over 250 business professionals eager to hear the secrets that keep Fortune 500 companies at the head of the pack.
The iBusiness 2012 event featured speakers like Russell Sarder, CEO of NetCom Learning, author and business magnate; Alison Cunard, GM of Microsoft Learning; and Joey Snow, Senior Technical Evangelist, among others. Attendees learned how to set themselves apart from the competition, develop skills to adapt to the ever-changing technology within their respective industries and direct their future.
"Technology comes into play in varying degrees in every industry. The event was a success, in part because so many business professionals now recognize this and understand they need to develop the skills that will allow them to stay at the cutting edge of the IT market. But also, the event drew so many attendees because of the experienced and fascinating panel of speakers who presented at the event," said Russell Sarder, CEO of NetCom Learning.
During his own presentation, Sarder explained how young people can differentiate themselves by creating an effective learning plan and following a philosophy of lifelong learning. He used examples of people he knows who have gone from having little money to building wealth and successful careers. The highlight of Sarder's discussion was a rallying call in which he invited the entire audience of over 250 people to stand up and yell, "We are all lifelong learners!" Sarder's speech inspired many attendees to start their own learning plan and to commit to differentiating themselves in their respective industries.
Sarder's speech made an impression on attendees, who shared their excitement after the conference.
"Thank you for sharing your experience in iBusiness today. I was very much enjoying it," attendee Cherry Chen said.
Joe Chen, Co-President of the ABA-America-Maryland Chapter, also expressed his gratitude for the conference and the inspiration it gave the chapter members. "Personally, I have learned a lot from you, particularly on your 'lifelong learning' philosophy. I also learned that I need to invest in myself, learn from the successful people, and differentiate myself from others. I admire your passion about learning. It was a wonderful experience for me, and I can't wait to share it with my members on the next meeting," Chen said in letter to Sarder after the event.
Many of NetCom Learning's former students also found the event educational. "I found the session very informative; I'm glad I was able to attend as a previous NetCom student," said Rita Chhabra.
Speakers at iBusiness 2012 explained the advantages of getting to know business technologies, such as unified communication and collaboration, unified business intelligence strategies and cloud computing, and how to navigate the constantly changing business technology environment.
Allison Cunard of Microsoft gave a presentation on the future of technology and highlighted her presentation with keywords such as "imagine" to inspire the crowd to visualize what the future of technology could be like. Cunard underscored the conference theme by encouraging business professionals to differentiate themselves through learning in order to transform their future.
Including Sarder, Cunard and Snow, other speakers included Chris Martin, Talent Management Strategist in the Fortune 1000 marketplace; Sam Polsky, subject matter expert and trainer at NetCom Learning; and Savio Chan, CEO of U.S. China Partners, who drew from his own experience climbing to the top and discussed what it takes to make it there.
