MICROS Names Carlos Echalar as Chief Human Resources Officer
COLUMBIA, Md., Jan. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, today appointed Carlos Echalar, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Mr. Echalar is an accomplished global human resources and operations executive with more than 20 years' experience in global human resources functions and business operations for technology related corporations. In this new role, Mr. Echalar will be responsible for leading MICROS' human resources strategy globally, including compensation and benefits, organizational and leadership development, recruitment, compliance, and diversity.
Previously, Mr. Echalar served as Vice President of Human Resources for CSC's Global Commercial Group, and prior to CSC, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for ManTech International. He has also held executive positions at SAIC Corporation and Titan Corporation. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, Robert H. Smith School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Old Dominion University.
