HERNDON, Va., Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroPact, a leader in the development of Case Management and Business Process Management (BPM) software, today announced the appointment of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), John D. Young.

With more than 25 years of finance, accounting and operations experience, John will be responsible for managing and developing financial strategies for an expanding MicroPact. Previously, Young was the Senior Vice President (SVP) and CFO for Metron Aviation, a provider of air traffic flow management software and research services to the aviation industry, where he developed financing strategies to support the company's rapid growth. Young helped structure a management buyout and the creation of a new commercial products business unit, growing revenues from $17 to $43 Million in two years. In October 2011, he helped lead the successful acquisition of Metron Aviation by Airbus.
Prior to Metron Aviation, Young held a position at Era Systems Corporation, where he served as SVP, CFO, Corporate Secretary and Treasurer. While at Era Systems, he successfully managed the company's financial strategy, fundraising and acquisitions. He has also held leadership positions at the Baan Company, Blackbaud, Incorporated and Legent Corporation.
