MicroPact Joins Computer Industry Standards Consortium Object Management Group (OMG)

HERNDON, Va., April 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroPact, a leader in the development of case management and business process management (BPM) software, is excited to announce that they have joined the Object Management Group (OMG), an international, open membership, not-for-profit computer industry standards consortium. MicroPact is a Domain Level member in the group. As a Domain Level member, MicroPact will participate in submitting candidate specification documents in response to OMG requests for proposals.

OMG Task Forces develop enterprise integration standards for a wide range of technologies and an even wider range of industries. OMG's modeling standards, including the Unified Modeling Language™ (UML®) and Model Driven Architecture® (MDA®), enable powerful visual design, execution and maintenance of software and other processes, including IT Systems Modeling and Business Process Management.

OMG has been instrumental in setting business process management and case management standards, including the Business Process Modeling and Notation 2.0 specification, which provides businesses with the capability of understanding their internal business, and the Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN) specification. MicroPact will be joining the CMMN 1.0 Finalization Task Force.
