HERNDON, Va., June 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- MicroPact Inc., the global leader in Data-First™ Case Management and Business Process Management (BPM) software and a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, was cited by Forrester Research, Inc. as an example of an ECM vendor able to "enable faster, more agile delivery of content applications to busy frontline workers."
The Forrester Research report – Maximize The Business Value Of New ECM Deployments With A Clear Migration Strategy, June 3, 2014 – was led by Principal Analyst, Cheryl McKinnon, and is based on results from Forrester's May 2013 Global Enterprise Content Management Online Survey and interviews with ECM software vendors including MicroPact.
According to the report, "Technology managers are putting enterprise content management on the infrastructure refresh list. They are decommissioning heavy-footprint, complex products architected in the 1990's in favor of flexible, interoperable platforms designed for faster delivery of smarter and simpler content applications." The report highlights the challenges associated with this shift, in particular, the need to migrate data and processes from legacy systems.
"Case management vendor MicroPact frequently migrates content from older repositories, including Lotus Notes, as part of system deployment," according to the report.
Forrester Research notes that MicroPact "was able to deliver a case and correspondence management application to a government judicial body that saved over $5 million in less than two years by eliminating duplicate systems, reducing the time to adjudicate a case by 15 days, consolidating processes from multiple stakeholder agencies, and automating routine correspondence responses."
MicroPact software is currently used by 97 percent of federal agencies with more than 500 employees, making it one of the most utilized enterprise case management platforms in government today.
