The 462 Conference features speakers and sessions organized into two separate learning tracks. "Track 1 – 462 Plus" is a three-course track designed for attendees looking for basic training on 462 reporting in icomplaints, plus best practices in EEO processing. This track includes a half-day course dedicated to helping users get the most out of icomplaints and two additional classroom courses.
For attendees already familiar with 462 reporting in icomplaints, "Track 2– Beyond 462" features notable experts on workforce issues and EEO from the federal government. The four courses and session panelists in this track include:
- The New Diversity & Inclusion Initiative presented by Bruce Stewart, Deputy Director of Diversity and Inclusion, U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and Veronica Villalobos, Director, Office of Diversity and Inclusion, OPM.
- Social Media and EEO Policy – A panel discussion featuring John Sim, Senior Analyst, Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Steve Gaitten, Director, Digital Programs, MicroPact; and Pat Fiorenza, Research Analyst, GovLoop.
- Internal Workforce vs. Contractors – A panel discussion featuring Sharon Eller, Director, Office of Civil Rights, U.S. Department of the Interior; Bonita White, Director, EEO Compliance and Operations Division, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; and Mariam Harvey, Director, Office of Civil Rights and Diversity, U.S. Department of the Treasury.
- Leveraging icomplaints Data to Manage Your EEO Program presented by Arlene Austin, Director, Office of Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Developed specifically to manage the EEO process and generate the Form 462 annual report, icomplaints is a case management system that includes a number of critical features required by government agencies and departments for tracking and managing EEO complaints and cases. Its robust set of business rules ensures compliance with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) MD-110, EEOC reporting requirements and 29 Code of Federal Regulations 1614. The EEOC enforces federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination (for most U.S. employees) based upon that employee's (or applicant's) race, age, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, disability or genetic information.
"It's a great accomplishment to have a decade of expertise in EEO and we couldn't have done it without the collaboration of the federal workers and case managers," said Kris Collo, President and Founder, MicroPact. "We're looking forward to a great day of learning about this very important topic for the federal workforce and sharing how our technologies can be used throughout the entire case management lifecycle for greater efficiencies and compliance."
