Micro Center® to Present $45,000 in Donations from Intel to Local Schools
Micro Center Columbus Store Wins Grand Prize in competition hosted by the Intel® Retail Edge Program
HILLIARD, Ohio, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Micro Center (microcenter.com) , a leading national computer device and consumer electronics retailer headquartered in Hilliard, Ohio, announced that the Micro Center Columbus store has won the Grand Prize in the Intel® Retail Edge Program's annual Score with Intel® Core™ competition. On October 16, the Micro Center Columbus store, located in the Olentangy Plaza Shopping Center at 747 Bethel Rd, will present a $25,000 donation from Intel to Hilliard-Darby High School.
Two additional Micro Center stores achieved 2nd place prizes. The Micro Center Cincinnati store will present a $10,000 donation from Intel to St. Bernard-Elmwood Place High School in Cincinnati and the Micro Center Marietta, GA store (Atlanta) will present a $10,000 donation from Intel to Powers Ferry Elementary School in Marietta, GA.
Score with Intel® Core™ is an annual competition among thousands of retail stores across America. This national competition asks sales representatives to expand their knowledge about Intel technology and the devices they sell. The Intel Retail Edge program is designed to provide the latest training to sales representatives thorough interactive courses, articles, videos, sales tools, and more.

Micro Center Columbus will present Hilliard-Darby High School with the $25,000 donation from Intel in an event to be held at 7:00p.m. at Dave & Busters in Hilliard, OH. During the event to celebrate the stores' achievement, school representatives will be presented with their donation (an oversized check and celebratory plaque) in front of team members from the store.
