Micrium Exhibits at EE Times/ST Virtual Conference
Micrium to give away PDF versions of its popular books to attendees
WESTON, Fla., Dec. 1, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Micrium, a leader in embedded RTOS products, is front and center at the ST Virtual Conference Robust Ecosystem = Embedded Success on December 2, 2010. The conference, held live from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm, delivers valuable information on development tools, system energy efficiency optimization and the challenge of applications.
The conference is free, but requires registration (click here to register). Micrium is present on the exhibit floor with a booth that delivers valuable information such as a new video by Matt Gordon of Micrium on how to get started using uC/OS-III in your embedded designs. Access the video tab on the information rack in the Micrium booth.
All attendees receive the equivalent of a backpack/show bag when they arrive. In it, will be found a PDF of Jean Labrosse's book, uC/OS-III: The Real Time Kernel. In addition, for going to the Micrium booth, and taking a very short survey, attendees will also receive Christian Legare's book, uC/TCP-IP: The Embedded Protocol Stack, also in PDF form. See reviews on both books click here written by Clive "Max" Maxfield of the EE Times Group. In addition, details on the giveaways are available in a blog by Max at: click here.
According to Jean Labrosse, president and CEO, "This is a great way to gain an amazing amount of knowledge without the time and expense involved in travel. We're providing both great material and valuable giveaways to attendees that visit our booth, and are excited to be a part of this STMicroelectronics Virtual Conference."
At 2:30 pm ET, take in RTOSs and Communications Stacks without Tears, presented in the virtual auditorium by Christian Legare, Vice President, Micrium. Legare will discuss how increasingly, embedded designs are multitasking and connected. Implementing the blocks that provide these services should be the responsibility of the ecosystem, not a trial for the design team. Uncover best practices for selecting and integrating these major software functions without having to become an OS guru or protocol-processing expert.
At the booth, attendees have access to several videos, white papers, articles, and a host of technology experts available.
Highlights include:
- Chat with Jean Labrosse, CEO, president, founder and author at 1:00 pm ET in the Micrium booth to answer questions in the "chat" room.
- Product experts from Micrium will be on hand throughout the event to discuss Micrium's kernels: uC/OS-III and uC/OS-II, recently announced uC/TimeSpaceOS, uC/TCP-IP, uC/USB, uC/File System, uC/GUI, safety-critical designs, and all RTOS modules.
- Drop in and talk to Micrium's engineers regarding your particular design challenges.
Although the live broadcast takes place on December 2, the event will be archived at EE Times for a period of six months.
