Micrium Adds uC/OS-II and uC/OS-III Support to Energy Micro EFM32 Gecko Microcontrollers

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- ARM TECHCON 2010 -- Micrium, Inc., a leader in real-time and embedded operating systems today announced uC/OS-II and uC/OS-III support of Energy Micro's Cortex™ M3-based EFM®32 Gecko microcontrollers. Micrium's RTOS modules and safety-critical capabilities and EFM32 Gecko microcontrollers represent an ideal combination for energy-efficient, small footprint, safety-critical embedded designs.

Energy Micro's low power features and Cortex-M3-based focus complements Micrium's Cortex experience and its rapidly growing portfolio of validated software and such new products as its recently announced uC/TimeSpaceOS that enables complex segments of software with a variety of safety levels to be executed on a single core. Micrium also recently announced and a joint venture with Validated Software to develop additional validation products.

The uC/OS RTOS family of products is used in a variety of embedded designs, including industrial, medical, consumer and telecom, and military and aerospace.
