Michigan First Credit Union Joins Swell Of Corporate Support As First Cornerstone Partner For Little Caesars Arena
Financial leader's commitment includes sponsorship of exciting gondola seats, 50/50 raffle and College Nights
DETROIT, May 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Olympia Entertainment is proud to announce that Michigan First Credit Union, the official credit union of The Detroit Red Wings, is its first Cornerstone Partner for Little Caesars Arena with its sponsorship of several initiatives, including the coveted title sponsorship for the unique gondola seating location right above the action.
For Red Wings games, individuals that purchase gondola seats will enjoy views of the ice while suspended above the bowl—as though they are "hanging from the rafters." The gondola seats will also be available for concerts, family shows and other events.
During Red Wings games, a second set of gondola seats will serve as the headquarters for media writers, and will provide press with an optimal viewing location on top of the action, similar to other Original Six venues.
"The gondola seating is such a unique way to experience an event or game, and it's just captivating," says Tom Wilson, president and CEO of Olympia Entertainment. "You're literally suspended above it all. It's like nothing else! We're so pleased that Michigan First Credit Union will have its name associated with what will be such a notable part of the new arena, in addition to their other sponsorship elements."
Michigan First will also sponsor the 50/50 raffle at Red Wings home games. These raffles raise money for the Detroit Red Wings Foundation and Little Caesars youth hockey programs, as well as other deserving charitable organizations throughout Michigan.
In addition, Michigan First will be the presenting partner for Red Wings College Nights.
"As a long-standing partner of The Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment, Michigan First is thrilled to be a part of the new arena and this exciting time in Detroit," said Michael Poulos, President and CEO of Michigan First. "The arena will be a great destination for our community, and we're proud to support The Detroit Red Wings Foundation in its mission to enhance the lives of those that live in Michigan."
