Michigan Association of Counties Welcomes New Deputy Director
LANSING, Mich., Dec. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Michigan Association of Counties (MAC) welcomes Steve Currie to its staff as Deputy Director. Currie will be responsible for organizational management for MAC.

"With his prior experience in finance and management, we are confident that his leadership skill set will prove to be an indispensable tool for our organization."
Prior to joining MAC, Currie was most recently Operations Manager at Comfort Research in Grand Rapids. He graduated from Hope College with a degree in Business Administration and also has a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University.

The Michigan Association of Counties (MAC) founded on February 1, 1898, is the only statewide organization dedicated to the representation of all county commissioners in Michigan. MAC is a non-partisan, non-profit organization which advances education, communication and cooperation among county government officials in the state of Michigan. MAC is the counties' voice at the State Capitol, providing legislative support on key issues affecting counties.
