Michelin Receives 2012 J.D. Power and Associates Awards for Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction
GREENVILLE, S.C., March 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Michelin tires have once again ranked highest in customer satisfaction in three segments in the J.D. Power and Associates Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study™. The 2012 honors, released today, brings Michelin's lifetime total of J.D. Power and Associates awards to 69, more awards than any other tire manufacturer since the study launched in 1989.
Michelin received the industry's top honors in the Luxury, Passenger Car, and Truck/Utility segments, scoring significantly above the industry average in each segment.
"At Michelin, customer satisfaction is a top priority," said Rob Murray, vice president of operations for passenger and light truck original equipment tires, Michelin North America. "Michelin is committed to delivering the highest quality in tire performance. By working collaboratively with our OEM partners to optimize the entire customer usage experience, we graciously share this special recognition with them."
Michelin scored notably above segment average to take highest honors in the Luxury segment. Contributing to this recognition was owner feedback on the Michelin Latitude Tour HP, which scored 54 points higher than the segment average. This tire accounts for 40% of Michelin's Luxury fitments and can be found on Lexus RX, Cadillac SRX, and Acura MDX.
In the high-volume Passenger Car segment, the brand scores 54 points above segment average. Scoring 60 points above average in the Truck/Utility segment, Michelin fitments include Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra and Honda Pilot.
