Michael Marchi Named Chief Operating Officer of American Standard Brands

PISCATAWAY, N.J., Feb. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- American Standard Brands announced today the appointment of Michael Marchi to the newly created role of chief operating officer, effective March 2, 2015. 

Marchi will be directly responsible for all American Standard Brands customer markets in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, including retail and wholesale. He will also support supply chain and manufacturing operations for the plumbing products manufacturer.

Marchi brings more than 30 years of experience to this new position, with the majority in the building products industry. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of Amerock Hardware. Prior to that, Marchi worked as president and CEO of Grohe Americas, where he was instrumental in driving growth and establishing strategic direction. Earlier, he served as president of Kohler Kitchen and Bath Americas, leading the largest division in that company's portfolio. Marchi also held senior executive roles at Ann Sacks Tile and Stone, Citibank, and General Electric over the course of his professional career.

Marchi holds a B.S. degree in economics and marketing from Elmhurst College and an MBA with a finance concentration from DePaul University. He is also a graduate of the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School, as well as the General Electric Managerial Development Program.
