Michael J. Wettrich Selected As President and CEO at Education First Credit Union
WESTERVILLE, Ohio, Aug. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors at Education First Credit Union is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Michael J. Wettrich to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately.
According to Mr. Norman Landry, Chairman of the credit union's board of directors "Mike is exceptionally knowledgeable about the credit union industry, and he brings a deep wealth of knowledge about our business. Previously, Mr. Wettrich was with the Ohio Department of Commerce, in the Division of Financial Institutions. Since 2010 he has served as the Deputy Superintendent for Credit Unions. Prior to that, he was the Chief Examiner and Acting Deputy Superintendent for Credit Unions for two years. In addition, Mike graduated from Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio with a B.S. in Finance. He served as Chairman of the Board of the National Association of State Credit Unions, and he is a Certified Credit Union Examiner (CCUE) and Certified Credit Union Supervisor (CCUS). He is also a member of the National Association of State Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).
