Michael Hull joins Avison Young in Chicago
Highly regarded industry veteran will focus on corporate services
CHICAGO, IL, Jan. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Danny Nikitas, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Chicago office, announced today the strategic hiring of office leasing specialist Michael Hull.
Effective immediately, Hull becomes a Principal of Avison Young. Based in the firm's Chicago office, he will continue to specialize in office tenant representation. He was most recently a Senior Vice-President at MB Real Estate in Chicago.
"Mike will add valuable experience and depth to an already solid tenant representation platform here in our Chicago office," comments Nikitas. Avison Young opened its first U.S. office in Chicago in January 2009. With the addition of Hull, adds Nikitas, the firm is poised to provide an even wider range of services to both landlords and tenants in the downtown and suburban Chicago office markets.
Hull brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young. During his career, he has completed more than $3 billion in transactions while representing a diverse group of clients, including Fortune 500 companies and local firms. His clients have included AT&T, Komatsu, Motorola, United Airlines and USG.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Hull spent five years as a Senior Vice-President with MB Real Estate in Chicago. In 2001, he founded The Mike Hull Company, a Chicago-based corporate services real estate firm. Before then, he led the leasing efforts in Chicago for Stein & Company, where he was responsible for such office landmarks as the AT&T Corporate Center, USG Building and 203 North LaSalle.
Hull was nominated twice as Chicago Broker of the Year at the annual Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards dinner benefitting the Greater Chicago Food Depository, and has been featured in Crain's Chicago Business, the Chicago Tribune and other publications. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University in Chicago and is active in his community with Special Olympics of Illinois.
