Michael Diliberto Named Chief Information Officer of Priceline.com's North American Business Unit
NORWALK, Conn., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Priceline.com (Nasdaq: PCLN) today announced the promotion of Michael Diliberto, 44, to Chief Information Officer, North America. Mr. Diliberto will report to Chris Soder, priceline.com's President, North American Travel. The promotion is effective today.
Mr. Diliberto was priceline.com's Chief Software Architect. He succeeds Ron Rose, 58, who is joining Dell as Senior Vice President. Mr. Rose has served as priceline.com's Chief Information Officer since joining the company from Standard & Poor's in 1999.

Mr. Diliberto also is one of priceline.com's longest tenured employees and is an Internet industry veteran. He joined priceline.com in 1998 as Senior Vice President, Information Technology, and was promoted to Chief Software Architect in 1999. Before joining priceline.com, he held several senior information technology positions at Prodigy Services Company, and was Vice President of Content Engineering of News Internet Services at News Corporation.
