Playboy's stock price rose more than 300% during his tenure. Prior to joining Playboy, Carr served as President and CEO of Wieder Publications, where he led the company to a 600% increase over nine years, expanding such publications as: Shape, Muscle & Fitness, Men's Fitness and Flex. The company was ultimately sold to American Media for $450 million in 2000. He was named as one of the 40 most influential Media executives by Folio in 2008.
