Michael C. Shaw Recognized by Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Publication

SYOSSET, N.Y., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Michael C. Shaw, of Iowa City, Iowa, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for his outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of advocacy.

ABOUT MICHAEL C. SHAW

Mr. Shaw has many years of experience in the nonprofit arena, focusing public attention on the value of the freedoms protected to Americans by the Declaration of Independence.  He works to rekindle public awareness of unalienable rights.  He previously worked as a supervising accountant for Ernst and Ernst, CPAs, in San Jose, California, from 1973-1976.  From 1976-1979, he was an associate attorney with the San Jose firm of Berliner Cohen.  From 1979-1982, he was a junior partner at Crocker, Crocker and Shaw, a real estate development firm, the Chief Financial Officer at Naramics, a high-tech distributor and supplier, from 1982-1983, and a partner at Lockaway Storage, a multi-state chain of self-storage facilities, from 1984-2008.  In 2000, Mr. Shaw co-founded and is the President of FreedomAdvocates.org, a nonprofit advocacy group.  He received a J.D. from Santa Clara University in 1974 and is a Licensed C.P.A.  He has published 30 articles on private property and globalism and gives many public presentations.  Privately financed, he created the most advanced restoration of a native plant community anywhere, on a 75-acre parcel on the coast of central California.  His success led to a cover article in "Ecological Restoration", an international science journal focused on environmental science.  This landscape is widely recognized as the prototype for land restoration.  Mr. Shaw is a member of Freedom 21.  He currently resides in Santa Cruz County, California.
