Michael A. ("Tony") Reid, LCDR, USN (Ret) Joins HALO Maritime Defense Systems
NEWTON, N.H., May 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Paul C. Jensen, CEO of HALO Maritime Defense Systems (HMDS), announced today that Michael A. ("Tony") Reid, former United States Navy Director for Anti-terrorism, Force-protection (AT/FP), has joined HMDS as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on threat analysis and systems integration.

"Tony brings a combined total of 38 years of government service, much of it in the area of physical security."
Mr. Reid, a native of Texas, enlisted with the United States Navy at the Armed Forces Enlistment Center in Houston, Texas in November 1976. During his active duty service, he completed major deployments to the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Africa and the Indian Ocean during the fall of Tehran. He also transited the Panama Canal, participated in deterrence operations off the coast of Nicaragua and Law Enforcement operations in support of the Coast Guard in the Caribbean, including the seizure of the civilian freighter Durango Kiss.
Reid completed Officer Candidate School at Pensacola, Florida en route to USS Saratoga (CV60). Among his subsequent assignments: NSB Kings Bay, Georgia with temporary duties at Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic (SWFLANT); Navy Criminal Investigative Service and CNO N34 Staff; Commander Navy Europe AT Program Director; Navy Facilities Engineering Command Headquarters C4I Program Manager for AT; and CNIC Operations Directorate, Antiterrorism Headquarters Program Director. While at CNIC he established the Navy's Access Control Program, Automated Vehicle Entry systems and orchestrated the development and improvement of the Navy's Physical Security Engineering Standards.
