Miami Press Food Truck Opens First Brick-and-Mortar Restaurant, Press Gourmet Sandwiches

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Press Gourmet Sandwiches, a chef-inspired fast casual restaurant founded by the owners of Miami Press Food Truck, announced today the opening of its flagship location in Fort Lauderdale, located at 6206 North Federal Highway. To celebrate, the restaurant will host a grand opening event on Wednesday, July 15 during which the first 100 guests will receive the brand's award-winning Mac'n Cheese Balls as a free giveaway.

The new restaurant is locally owned and operated by South Florida-based entrepreneurs and Miami Press Food Truck founders, Christopher DelPrete and Rand Carswell, who bring a combined 15 years of culinary experience to the restaurant. The duo first met while attending Johnson & Wales University and spent the beginning of their careers as private chefs cooking for celebrities in Miami. In 2012, they decided to join the entrepreneurial side of the business and launched the Miami Press Food Truck. Since its inception, the food truck has been a popular local draw across South Florida, with long lines at its various appearances in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade. Today, loyal fans can now enjoy their favorite chef-inspired fare in a permanent version of Miami Press—Press Gourmet Sandwiches.

Press Gourmet Sandwiches will feature eight chef-inspired pressed sandwiches – each named after an iconic newspaper – as well as fresh salads and sides including their Food Network award-winning Mac'n Cheese Balls, Parmesan Truffles Fries and Buffalo Blue Cheese Fries.

• 10 - 12 new team members hired in Fort Lauderdale
