Miami Dolphins Announce 'Dolphins Television Network'
Network will reach key markets in Southeast, Southwest and Central Florida
MIAMI, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Fresh off the Miami Dolphins' announcement of the broadcast team for the 2010 season and creation of "The FINSIDERS' radio show, the organization announced the launch of the Dolphins Television Network, another step in giving Finatics what they desire through more interaction, information and entertainment about their favorite team.
The Dolphins Television Network will be comprised of the following stations: WFOR-TV/MY33 (Miami/Fort Lauderdale); WTVX, WWHB, MY15, WWHB, and LA TV (West Palm Beach/Treasure Coast); WBBH / WZVN (Fort Myers/Naples); and WRDQ, WFTV and WAWA (Orlando/Daytona/Melbourne).
"We are thrilled to expand our Television Network partnerships throughout Florida. Providing access to Dolphins content is a priority for us as we continue to grow our fan base throughout South Florida and the state," said Jim Rushton, Sr. Vice President of Integrated Media and Corporate Partnerships for the Miami Dolphins. "Broadcasting our games in English and in Spanish, as well as, broadcasting our in-season and off-season television shows and specials thru our television partners broadcast and web platform, helps us deliver on that promise. This is another step in our commitment to provide Finatics with information when they want it, where they want it, and how they want it."
By virtue of the partnership with the aforementioned stations, more Finatics will have a chance to watch and listen to the team's preseason television and radio broadcasts. The TV broadcast will be led by nationally-acclaimed network announcer Dick Stockton along with Dolphins Hall of Fame quarterback Bob Griese and Dolphins great Nat Moore. The radio team will feature the popular team of Jimmy Cefalo, Jim Mandich and Joe Rose. The Spanish radio team will feature Raul Striker Jr., who has been doing the games since 2006, with newcomer Rafael Hernandez Brito of the Univision radio network. All game and shoulder programming can be seen in High Definition and can be heard in both English and Spanish.
The multi-year television agreements will also provide fans with a multitude of team programming including 'The Tony Sparano Show' and 'Dolphins Weekly' on game day and four specials throughout the season, 'The Miami Dolphins Cheerleader Special', 'FINS on the Clock' NFL draft special, 'Dolphins Pre-Season Special' and 'Miami Dolphins Post Season Special'.
Additionally, each television partner will support Dolphins Business Initiatives and Dolphins Foundation efforts in their respective communities.
The newly formed Dolphins Integrated Media Group's primary mission is to provide the team's corporate partners with fully integrated multi-media marketing programs comprised of new and existing Dolphins media and sponsorship assets including audio, video, text, and print and in-stadium elements.
